Alexa Lane has been working in the performing arts for over 20 years. She began her training at the age of three and went on to win multiple awards for dance in her youth. She was cast in her first professional production at age eighteen.
As a professional dancer, singer, and actress, she performed in a variety of theatre, television, and film productions in the United States and Europe. She is a member of the theatrical unions Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
Her career highlights include playing “Mae Jones” in the Italian premiere of the Opera “Street Scene” (Teatro Regio Torino, Italy), the touring companies of “Sweet Charity” and “Singin’ in the Rain,” and regional productions of “Sugar Babies” and “My One and Only.” Her television credits include playing “Maria” on the soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”
She is classically trained in multiple Dance disciplines: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre. She studied voice with the celebrated Broadway voice teacher, Shirley Callaway and acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. She holds a degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Exercise Science.
Alexa has applied all of her training and experience into the design of her performing arts classes. Her approach is to create an encouraging environment where students can discover the joy and magic of the arts, express themselves with confidence, and learn to work as a team. She is honored to play a part in inspiring her students to follow their dreams!
