Meet Alexa

Nourishing the creative spirit as a lifelong passion, Alexa Lane has made it her mission to help others discover their life purpose, develop their artistic gifts, and live a healthy, joyful life. Drawing on her background as a Life Coach, Yoga, Meditation and Dance and Fitness instructor, Alexa incorporates a holistic approach to wellness and coaching that embodies the whole person, body, mind, and spirit.

Alexa’s Dance, Fitness, and Yoga programs combine her artistic background as a professional dancer with her knowledge of the latest research in exercise science to design safe, effective fitness routines. All programs are designed to support individual needs and health goals. Alexa’s clientele includes children, adults, young performers, celebrities, and special populations. Alexa truly believes healthful habits provide the foundation and stability for the magic to happen in life.

Alexa is the creator and director of Soma Samadhi Studio where she trains and certifies instructors in Yoga. She is the author of “Yoga Beauty- A Guide to Yoga Practice,” two well-received Yoga practice CDs “Illumine” and “Yoga Breakthrough” and has been a featured yoga expert both online and on television. She is currently working on “Child Evolve,” an educational film about the benefits of yoga for children that she created, directed, and choreographed.

My Story

I have always believed in living a holistic, healthy, and balanced life. I credit these healthful habits for supporting me in all aspects of my life.

I grew up in my mother’s dance studio. In many ways the arts not only empowered my life, but transformed my life. I discovered that I could become anything that I imagined and with hard work I realized my dreams.

As my experience with dance and the performing arts evolved, I realized that movement can be a form of spirituality, transformation, and somatic therapy. Through the practices of hatha yoga and meditation, I was able to develop a deeper understanding of what spirituality means to me and gain insight that transformed my entire life. These experiences and epiphanies inspired me to develop my current programs that incorporate the healing aspects of Eastern and Western science with the soulful joy of the arts. It is my pleasure and honor to be instrumental in helping my clients create a life full of love, peace, and prosperity.

Alexa holds a degree in Liberals Arts with a concentration in Exercise Science and graduated with honors. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society for academic excellence. Alexa earned a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies presented by the highly acclaimed Dr. T. Colin Campbell of Cornell University.

Alexa studied classical and contemporary dance and theatre arts in New York City and Los Angeles. After years of training, Alexa’s passion for the performing arts led to a professional career as a dancer, singer, and actress in a variety of musical theatre, television, and film productions in the United States and Europe. Alexa is a proud member of the theatrical unions Actors’ Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.
